Gabi & Ben | Negus 747 & Woodlands Hotel Leeds Wedding

Gabi and Ben’s weddings were a true reflection of who they are — not just as a couple, but through their shared love of aviation. With Ben working in operations and Gabi as cabin crew, it felt only right that their celebrations included something a little different alongside a more traditional ceremony.

Their first ceremony took place aboard the Negus 747, a retired British Airways aircraft with a long aviation history. Holding their ceremony on board an aircraft was a fitting and meaningful choice, creating a completely unique setting that felt personal, memorable, and true to their story. From intimate moments inside the cabin to relaxed portraits around the plane, it was a ceremony like no other.

Following their aviation-themed celebration, Gabi and Ben also chose to host a more traditional wedding day closer to home at Woodlands Hotel. Set just outside Leeds, Woodlands Hotel offered a classic contrast — elegant interiors, landscaped grounds, and a relaxed atmosphere that worked perfectly for a full wedding day with friends and family.

The Leeds celebration allowed space for everything you’d expect from a traditional wedding — from the ceremony through to speeches, couple portraits and an energetic evening reception. The variety across both days made their story particularly enjoyable to capture, combining something completely personal and unconventional with a venue that felt timeless and familiar.

From exchanging vows on an iconic aircraft to celebrating together at one of Leeds’s most popular wedding venues, Gabi and Ben’s weddings were a perfect example of how couples can shape their day (or days) entirely around what matters to them.

If you’re planning a wedding that breaks from tradition — or combining something meaningful and personal with a more classic venue — I’d love to hear about your plans.
