Katie and Harry’s wedding took place at The Tithe Barn, one of the most sought-after wedding venues in the Yorkshire Dales. Set within the grounds of Bolton Abbey, the barn’s stone walls, exposed beams and surrounding countryside create a setting that feels both rustic and timeless — ideal for couples planning a relaxed, full-day celebration.
The day began with morning preparations in separate nearby accommodation, with Katie and Harry getting ready just a short distance from The Tithe Barn. This kept everything close and unhurried, allowing plenty of time to capture the quieter moments of the morning — final touches, anticipation, and the build-up before heading to the venue — without anyone feeling rushed.
One of the big advantages of hosting a wedding at The Tithe Barn is how naturally the day flows. With the ceremony, reception and evening celebrations all taking place on site, guests can relax and enjoy the experience without needing to travel between locations.
The ceremony took place inside the barn, where natural light and the character of the space set the tone beautifully. After the ceremony, we made the most of the surrounding Bolton Abbey estate for relaxed couple portraits — keeping things simple and natural, with gentle guidance and time for Katie and Harry to enjoy being newly married.
As the day moved into the evening, The Tithe Barn transformed into a warm, atmospheric space for food, speeches and celebration. From emotional moments during the speeches to the energy on the dance floor later that night, the venue worked perfectly for telling the full story of the day — right through to the last dance.
